MicronGreen is Micronclean’s sustainability program with a single overarching aim: we want Micronclean to be 'the most sustainable specialist textile and cleanroom consumable business on the planet'.

Our Microngreen; Environment and Sustainability Strategy is built on three pillars; our climate, circular economy and people & communities.

Through MicronGreen, we are working to become the most sustainable specialist textile and cleanroom consumable business in the world, guided by our values of Stewardship, Knowledge, Innovation and Excellence (SKIEs).

Our Focus

MicronGreen is built on three core pillars:

• Our Climate: cutting carbon emissions and moving towards net zero by 2045.
• Circular Economy: reducing waste, improving recyclability, and rethinking packaging.
• People & Communities: creating social value, supporting wellbeing, and building stronger local partnerships.

Highlights from 2024

• Achieved a 15% reduction in direct carbon emissions since our 2021 baseline, on track for a 50% cut by 2027.
• Switched to 100% renewable electricity and installed solar panels generating 20% of our Louth site’s energy.
• Introduced clear recyclable garment packaging, recognised with an external environmental award.
• Improved waste management, with 58% of waste now recycled and new textile recycling initiatives launching in 2025.
• Expanded employee-led wellbeing, diversity and community programmes, including the Clean Awards and support for local charities.
